CLARISSON FARM Grains
At Clarissoni Farm, we have over 1000 ha of farmland that we can use to grow various organic grains. At the moment, we are growing more than ten different varieties of organic grains, according to the needs of our customers.
Our farm’s strong advantage in growing organic grains is the residual product from the cattle that we take to the field when growing grains. The residual product of cattle gives strength to the crop during its cultivation and increases the quality of the crop in its natural way.
We grow grains according to organic principles, so that the grains retain their natural beneficial properties. Organic grains have more health-promoting vitamins, antioxidants and no pesticide residues than conventional grains.

ESTONIA, AN IDEAL PLACE for crop production
Clarisson Farm is located in Estonia, what is a rare small organic raw material producing country in Europe. Estonians love the nature that surrounds them, which is why Estonia is in terms of percentage one of the largest organic producers in Europe. Over 22% of Estonian farmland are organic and 45% of Estonian forests are potential organic harvesting areas. In addition, 51% of Estonia’s area is forest and a large part of the natural environment has a little human influence.
Many grains are grown in Estonia because the weather is ideal for growing winter and spring grains. Estonia has cold winters and mild summers, that is a reason for good quality summer and winter grains. At Clarisson Farm, we constantly test different grain varieties to produce the highest quality grain for Estonian climate.
We use grain varieties that can be grown in our climate and are rare in Europe, but grains indicators are good.
Organic Barley
Clarisson farm is growing two different varieties of barley, winter barley Anja and summer barley Montoya. Winter barley Anja is a winter-resistant variety. Spring barley Montoya is variety with high bulk density and uniform large grains. Our barley is hulled. Barley is rich in minerals and vitamins. This versatile grain has a slightly chewy consistency and slightly nutty flavor that can complement many dishes.
Organic Oat
In addition, we have the oat variety Niklas, which is known as a top-class oat variety due to the size of the grains. Our oats are unhulled. Organic oats are a rich source of fiber, healthy carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, nutritious and high in antioxidants. Oats are also a versatile grain because they can be used as flour or flakes. Oats are naturally gluten-free.
Organic rapeseed and turnip rape
Legato winter turnip rape and Sundance winter rapeseed are grown at the Clarisson farm. Winter rapeseed Legato has a stable crop capability and a high oil content. In addition, rapeseed Sundance is a line variety with good winter resistance and a high oil content. Organic rapeseed and turnip rape oil are known for their low saturated fat content and rich in vitamins. Rapeseed and rapeseed oil are excellent cooking oils for pan-frying because they can withstand high temperatures, but they also taste good in salads because of their nutty flavor.
Organic Peas
At Clarisson Farm, the pea named Starter is growing. Starter is a beautiful yellow pea variety with beautiful large grains. Organic peas are highly nutritious, providing a concentrated source of plant-based protein, fiber and other vitamins and minerals, as well as protective plant compounds such as antioxidants. Organic peas can be versatilely used in soups, porridges or salads.
Organic Raw Buckwheat
We grow buckwheat Lileja, which is a buckwheat variety that is widely used in Europe due to its goodness. Our buckwheat is raw, which means its dried but not roasted. Also its unhulled. Buckwheat is naturally gluten free. Organic raw unhulled buckwheat can be used as whole grain flour, which is very nutritious and high in fiber. If hulled, it makes a great porrage or also flour, which has a milder taste and a lighter tone.
Organic wheat
Clarisson Farm grows three different types of wheat, winter wheat Ada, winter wheat Judita and spring wheat Quarna. Quarna is a high-quality spring wheat variety and is known for its good indicators. Last year, the Quarna protein figure was 19%. Winter wheat was Ada, which is considered to be a high-quality wheat variety with a high protein for winter wheat. Organic wheat flour is a good source of fiber, essential vitamins and minerals.
